FOOD!!!! One of my favorite subjects!!! The Peach Cafe in Monrovia - www.thepeachcafe.com - Lets talk about food for a minute. If you are familiar with Monrovia, you know that there are a lot of very good restaurants. I have several that I enjoy but the Peach Cafe is by far my favorite. The quality of food is superior and I know that the owner, Nita, takes great pride in making sure everything is delicious. They also pride themselves in their great customer service, friendly staff and wonderful selection. Not by any means 'fast food', but it is a Cafe, with a laid back atmosphere and you can easily find me there twice a week...o.k. three times...ALRIGHT...probably more...but once you go you will know why :) Also in Monrovia, the Loose Teas is a wonderful place. The Thomas Brotherz Band - www.thethomasbrotherz.com - Speaking of musicians...one of my oldest and dearest friends is an amazing one. If you have a soft spot in your heart for the Blues, you will love these guys. Southern California based, the Thomas Brotherz are something you don't want to miss. I have known Paul for more years than I can even remember and I gotta tell you he was born with the blues in his soul.
Anything Hawaiian. Find a website you like of Hawaii...and I will love it as well. We went to Maui for the first time three years ago when some dear friends of ours, Matt and Norah Engle, got married. Mike and I fell in love with the islands and with each other all over again. It was on Maui that he surprised me with a vow renewal ceremony for our 25th anniversary that I will never forget...flying our daughter and her now husband over to share the time with us. It is in Hawaii that a piece of my heart will always be. And, Hawaii is where our kids spent their honeymoon last November. A magically beautiful place for me!! Aloha!!!!
